Mr. Donald (Don) Douglas McCoin age 69 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Friday, June 08, 2012. He was a lifetime resident of Tennessee. Mr. McCoin attended high school at the Tennessee Military Institute, and attended Tennessee Technological University, Vanderbilt University, and Nashville Law School. A retired agent and financial planner with State Farm Insurance, he served and was a leader in various social and civic organizations and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Lebanon.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 19 years Sharon Womack McCoin, children from his first marriage, Michael Nathan McCoin of Cookeville, TN, Donna Hollie of Franklin, TN, Mitzi Blair of Lebanon, TN and Monica Alsup of Lebanon, TN, step-son Jayme Adcock of Murfreesboro, TN, sister Mary Whitaker of Gainesboro, TN, brother Edgar McCoin of Cookeville, TN, eight grandchildren, one step grandchild, and three great grandchildren. Many friends and other family members also survive.

Mr. McCoin was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Thelma Roberts McCoin.

The McCoin family will have a private service and burial to honor Don’s life.
