Mr. Anthony Payton Tittsworth, Jr., age 91, passed from this life on September 11, 2021 at his home. He was born on December 10, 1929 in Smithville, TN, served in the military in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years 6 months and 7 days, retired from Carrier in 1992 and was a member of Gath Baptist Church. Mr. Tittsworth was preceded in death by his parents Anthony Payton Tittsworth, Sr. and Lela Roller Johnson, siblings Houston Brown Cantrell, Onnie Mai Cantrell, Mary Agnes Greenwood, Vergie Lee Mantooth, Julis Webb Johnson, Fred Tittsworth, Emily Jones, James Monroe Tittsworth, and Martha Corville, and children Bruce Allen Tittsworth, Thomas Dale Argo.

He is survived by his wife Mary Ruth Argo Tittsworth, sisters Ruby Zeller and Joyce Vaughn, children Diane (Clint) Colter, Barbara (Joe) Moody, Connie (Fuller) Neely, Roger Ray Argo, Daniel Lee (Peggy) Argo, and Brenda Sue (Desi) McDaniel, 24 grandkids, and 41 great grandkids. Many nieces, nephews, and family friends also survive.

Funeral services were conducted September 15, 2021 at Gath Baptist Church. Bro. Rick Stewart and Bro. Casey Ray Colter officiated. Interment followed at Gath Cemetery. Military grave rites were conducted by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
