Mr. Armon Carl Cope age 92 of McMinnville, TN, died Friday, July 05, 2019, at N.H.C. Health Care Center in McMinnville. He was born December 08, 1926, in Smithville, TN, was a retired woodworker, and served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Cope was preceded in death by parents James Madison and Exie Adcock Cope, wife Betty Cope, wife Verna Young Cope, son Armon Carl Cope, Jr., sisters Versa Marler, Goldie Cantrell, Vella Barnes, Dorothy Cantrell, Ressie Cantrell, Ozene Malone and Neola Cope, and brothers Henry, Haston, Anthony, Howard, and Ray Cope.

Survivors include his children Thelma Cope Kast, Roger Cope, Shirley (Billy) Taylor, Kay Cope Kelley, Dennis Cope, Debbie (Mitchell) Day, Dan (Charlene) Cope and Doug (Milka) Cope, 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, step-children Connie (Ronnie) Wilson and Keith Young, and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Noon, Thursday, July 11, 2019, in the chapel of McMinnville Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Zlaten will officiate. Military honors will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the flag pole on the grounds of McMinnville Funeral Home. Inurnment of the cremated remains will take place at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
