Mr. Baxter Hillis age 83 of the Centertown Community died Friday August 19, 2022, at his residence. He was born September 05, 1938, in McMinnville, TN, was a farmer, former owner of Hillis Market in Centertown, and was a retired employee of the Nissan Mfg. Plant in Smyrna, TN. Mr. Hillis was affectionately known by many of his friends as "Cisco" and was also preceded in death by his parents Dalton and Ora Lorance Hillis.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years Linda Cantrell Hillis, their children Michael (Lesa) Hillis, Gina Melvin, and Martin (Amanda) Hillis, grandchildren Monica (Greg) Barton, Marisa (Tyler) Judkins, Eden Melvin, Dalton Hillis, and Drake Hillis, and a great-grandson Carter Barton. Other family members and friends also survive.

Graveside services and interment were conducted August 21, 2022, at Centertown Cemetery. Kent Killian, Phillip Prater, and Charles Williams officiated.
