Betty Joe Prater Brewer, age 79, of Morrison, died Monday, October 28, 2019, at her residence. She was born May 09, 1940, in Morrison, TN, retired from Carrier Air Conditioning after 28 years of employment, and was a member of Morrison First Baptist Church. She was a supporter of the Nashville Rescue Mission and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Ms. Brewer was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Emma Lee Youngblood Prater and daughter Yvonne Lynn Chisam.

Survivors include her children Donna (Jammie) Poss, Daniel (Dodie) Chisam, and David Lee Chisam, brothers Leonard H. Prater and Jim Bob Prater, grandchildren Corey Poss, Kayla Poss, Harli Nunley, Rylie Chisam, Evan Chisam, Erin Watts, Brandon Chisam, and Breanna Chisam, and 3 great grandchildren. Many family friends also survive.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 01, 2019, at the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Kevin Murphy will officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
