Mr. Billy Burke Cooke, age 87, of McMinnville, TN, died Thursday, September 22, 2022 at his residence. He was born December 12, 1934, in Bedford County, TN, was a truck driver with the U.S. Postal service and a Church of Christ preacher, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and a member of East End Church of Christ. Mr. Cooke was preceded in death by parents James Robert and Dixie Juanita Hollandsworth Cooke, wife of 66 years Anna Ruth Hubbard Cooke, brother James Oscar Cooke, and great-grandchild Christian Gudat.

Survivors include his children Terry Cooke, Darris Cooke, Linda Griffin, and Dawn Cooke, sister Linda Darlene Roberts, ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, & family friends.

Funeral services were conducted September 26, 2022, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.  James Macdonald officiated. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery with military grave rites bestowed by American Legion Post 173 and V.F.W. Post 5064.
