Mr. Carl Ray Mathis age 81 of McMinnville, TN, died Monday, May 02, 2022, at his home. He was born on March 10, 1941, in McMinnville, TN, was a retired carpenter and sheetrock worker, was meticulous about his yardwork, enjoyed woodworking and making furniture through the years, and was a member of the Ivy Bluff Church of Christ. Mr. Mathis was preceded in death by his parents Ed Clayton and Tamar Agnes Certain Mathis and brother James Houston Mathis.

Carl is survived by his wife of 60 years Sarah Miller Mathis, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Lorene Holland, Ruby Allred, Mary Stone, Raymond Miller, and Diane Miller, several nieces and nephews, and special niece Kitty Mick.

Funeral services were conducted May 04, 2022, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Brian Reed officiated. Interment followed at Ivy Bluff Cemetery.
