Mr. Charles "Chuck" Patrick Newby, Jr., age 64, of McMinnville, TN, died Saturday, December 23, 2023, at NHC HealthCare in McMinnville, TN. He was born January 27, 1959, in Manchester, TN, was a mechanic, worked in autobody work for many years, and was a longtime employee of DeZurik. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Smartt, TN, loved race car driving, and retired from NAPA Automotive. Mr. Newby was preceded in death by the love of his life and best friend Patricia "Patty" Ann Newby, daughter Tabitha Ann Newby, maternal grandparents Carroll and Wilma Burnes, and paternal grandparents Malcolm and Dovie Newby.

Survivors include his parents Charles and Jeanne Newby, daughter Tera (Justin) Rhea, son Brent (Jasmine) Newby, "special son" Charlie (Kelli) Adams, sisters Cathy Vanatta and Holly (Kevin) Parker, grandchildren Cayden (Serenity) Newby, LakeLynn (Dylan) Newby, KeyLe (Eli) Rhea, Allie Newby, Jaylee Cox, Makyra Cox, and Gabriella Himes, great grandchildren Baylor, Oakley, and Briggs, and a host of other family members and family friends.

Funeral services were conducted December 29, 2023, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Anthony Wanamaker and Johnny Newby officiated. Interment followed at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
