Mr. Charles Patrick Newby, Sr. age 83 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, August 07, 2024 at Calhoun Health Care Center in Calhoun, GA. He was born on October 10, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan, retired as an auto body mechanic, and operated the 'One of A Kind' used furniture store for 25 years. Mr. Newby was preceded in death by his parents Malcolm and Dovie Newby, son Charles Patrick "Chuck" Newby, Jr., sister Betty Annette Newby, brothers James Newby and Frank Newby, and grandchild Tabitha Newby.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years Jeanne Burnes Newby, daughters Cathy Vanatta and Holly (Kevin) Parker, sister Jan (Royce) Bain, brother Earl Pepper Newby, sister-in-law Linda Newby, grandchildren Tera (Justin) Rhea, Brent (Jasmine) Newby, Misty (Josh) Weismore, Brandon Newby, Tiffany Cantrell, Austin (Kami) Cantrell, and Alexus Wood (fiancé Tyler Cannon and their daughter Everleigh Cannon), and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted August 09, 2024, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Carson Rust officiated.  Interment followed at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
