Obituary

Charles William "Charlie" Pearson, age 89, died peacefully Friday night, October 04, 2024, after a brief illness. Charlie grew up in Sumner County, TN, but lived most of his life in Warren County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a minister in the Church of Christ, was the only manager of the Cooper Martin Grocery Store, and until he was 80, was an independent custom cabinetry maker. He was a mentor and inspiration to many. Mr. Pearson was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years Edith Lehew Pearson, parents Minous Pearson and Willie Rippy Pearson Mandrell, and all 8 of his siblings. He will be missed in our community.

Charlie is survived by daughters Karen Northcutt and Sherry (Ric) Kinkade, grandchildren Brandi Gipson, Travis Gipson, Rikki (Logan) Seal, and Pearce (Sophie) Kinkade, great grandchildren Shayla (Jacob) Bain, Abbigale Judkins, Logan Novak-Tibbett, Dane Fletcher, Peyton Jones, Ronan Seal, and Arthur Seal, and great-great grandchildren Oakley Bain and Delilah Bain.

Funeral service were conducted October 08, 2024, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. David Mayfield, Troy Sullens, Wayne Cantrell, and Chuck Mayfield officiated. Interment followed at Mt. View Cemetery.
