Obituary

Colonel Hayes Arledge, 94 of the Ivy Bluff Community died Saturday, October 21, 2023, at his residence. He was born on June 17, 1929 in Morrison, TN, was retired from Century Electric, and enjoyed farming, gardening, and working in the yard. He was preceded in death by his parents T. H. and Willie Barnes Arledge, wife Betty Arledge, daughter Kathy Omohundro, brother Thomas C. Arledge, and sister Allene Gillentine Bratcher.

Survivors include his son Barry Arledge and wife Susan, daughter Barbara Page and husband Larry, grandchildren Jody Omohundro (Melanie), Ellen Priestley (Shannon), Scott Page (Brenda), Amanda Henry (Lock), April Duke (Bruce), Amy Hewitt (Brent), and Betsy Arledge, great grandchildren Jackson Priestley, Kali Williams (Jacob), Kara Hillis (Luke), Ashlyn Fults (Cody), Page Duke, Haley Turner (Haryli), Mia Henry, Zoye Henry, Ezra Hewitt, Sebastian Omohundro, Taylor Omohundro, and Chandler Omohundro, and great-great grandchildren Haven Smithson, Hyatt Smithson, Gray Fults, Miles Turner, Dayton Hillis, Ollie Turner, and Millie Turner.

Graveside services and interment were conducted October 24, 2023, in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Barren Fork. Charles Williams officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
