David Andrew McShan was born August 29, 1976 in Houston, Texas an passed from this life July 31, 2023. He is survived by his beloved mother, Bette Watts and his stepfather, Frank Day as well as brothers Gary Michael McShan and David Wayne Watts Jr. and one sister Stephanie Duncan of Louisiana. He is also survived by many cousins that he truly loved; Chris Spoerle (Brandy), Bobby McBride Jr. (Harriette), Rebekah Gunthrie (Russ), Jeremy Spoerle (Mandy), Erik Spoerle (Kim), Lauren Spoerle, Nathan Spoerle, (Meena), Jacob Spoerle, Ashley Spoerle Mayne (Jonas), Dorothy Spoerle Hammond and Naomi Spoerle Ross (Phillip).

David had numerous second cousins.  Several of the younger ones called him "uncle David" and it was not until they were teenagers that they learned that he was "just another one of the cousins!"   They loved him dearly!  David's aunts and uncles were also special to him; William Spoerle (Judy), Kenneth Spoerle, Debra McBride (Bobby), Richard Spoerle (Donna) and James Spoerle (Elena). David was preceded in death by David Watts Sr., the father who raised him and gave him such wonderful adventures in the frontiers of Alaska that most people only dream of!  Also preceded by his grandparents, William and Dorothy Spoerle and Pearl Watts, his aunt Judy Spoerle and cousin Abe Hammond.

David worked in Bandera County in Texas for the county in roads and maintenance as well as using his skills as a mechanic.  David enjoyed cooking and worked for several restaurants in Tennessee.  He enjoyed riding his Harley and his best friend, his dog Harley!

Although David was a confirmed bachelor, he took his family roles seriously.  He was a son, a grandson, a brother, a cousin, a nephew, "an uncle" and a friend.  David was loved and will be missed!

David will be interred with full military honors at 12:30 P.M. Eastern Time on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1800 Bailey Ave., Chattanooga, TN  37404.

Mr. McShan was cremated at McMinnville Crematory LLC and memorial services were conducted August 05, 2023, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bobby McBride officiated.
