Mr. David Alan Rains, age 68, of McMinnville, TN, died Friday, November 24, 2023, at Ascension St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN. He was born on August 07, 1955, in McMinnville, was an employee of Wal-Mart, and enjoyed volunteering at Magness Memorial Library. David was a gentle soul who never hurt anyone and was always kind to those he knew. He was preceded in death by his parent Sam Ross and Dorothy Lorene Talbert Rains.

Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law Ross and Elaine Rains, nieces Amy (Michael) Moody and Alissa (Joey) Kennamer, great nephews Evan and Owen Moody, special friends George Beaver, Marty King, Brad Walker, and Don Hutchings, special cousin Tony (Faye) Talbert, and his Wal-Mart family.

Graveside services and inurnment were conducted December 10, 2023, at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Danny Hillis officiated.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Magness Memorial Library in David's memory.
