Mr. David Wood age 62 of Morrison, TN, died Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. He was born May 21, 1960, in Stephenville, Texas, was a retired truck driver, had previously served as a Deputy Sherriff in Hood County, Texas, enjoyed the outdoors, and loved farm work. Mr. Wood was preceded in death by father Bennie Fielden Wood.

David is survived by his wife of 21 years Margina Wood, his mother Ann Wood, children Brian (Kenna) Wood, Kelly Wood, Michael (Marriah) Bruce, and Barry (Melissa) Bruce, sister Lanell Gonzales, brother Danny (Cristy) Wood, grandchildren Brooke Fields, Cole Wood, Austin Bruce, Ty Bruce, Kinsley Bruce, Bryson Bruce, Aaron Bruce, and Dustin Bruce, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services were conducted August 14, 2022, at Chestnut Grove Church of Christ in Morrison, TN. Andrew Coppinger and Brandon Parsley officiated. Interment followed at Chestnut Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chestnut Grove Church of Christ, 2060 Chestnut Grove Road, Morrison, TN 37357 and will be appreciated.
