Mrs. Deanna Kay Michael Jacobs, age 79, of McMinnville, TN made her arrival at the gates of Heaven for a glorious reunion with her sweetheart, "Mike" on October 25, 2024 after spending 1 year, 1 month and 1 day apart.

She was born April 10, 1945, married her other half on September 28, 1963, retired after driving countess miles for the Warren County bus shed, was a member of Barren Fork Baptist Church and attended Bluewing Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband of 61 years, Michael R. Jacobs, she was preceded in death by parents, Linwood and Nora Lee Stubblefield Michael and father-in-law and mother-in-law, RC and Cleo Jacobs.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-love Shane and Shonda Jacobs, grandchildren: Kyrsten and Cody Johnson, Caitlin and Colby Mooneyham, Shayna Jacobs and Shyera Jacobs, great-grandchildren: Kayleigh Johnson and Jackson Johnson and her great granddog: Atlas Mooneyham.

Also surviving are: sister Linda and Billy Jarrell, brother "Junior" Michael, brothers and sisters-in-law Danny "Joe" and Lisa Jacobs, Sandra and Billy Nunley and Cindy Jacobs, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

Deanna wore many hats in her life: Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Wife, Mom, Granny and lots more.

the first hat aside from "Daughter" was "Sister" to her older sister Linda and "baby" brother Junior.

"Aunt Dee" to a passel of young'ins.

"Wife" to her other half, best friend, companion and sweetheart — "Mike".

"Mom" to Shane, the tiny baby boy she brought home in December of 1969.

but, the one hat she wore with the most pride was being called "Granny" — as she was so well known by many — and she truly was the best in the world.

Through her years of driving the bus, "Mrs. Deanna" made sure every child that climbed on the bus received at least one smile and, "Hello" each day and she found many lifelong friends in her co-workers at the bus shed.

The family wishes to extend a huge, "Thank you" to each person who played a part in her life, because of you, she received more love in life than she could ever know.

Graveside services and interment were conducted October 28, 2024, at Centertown Cemetery. Dave Dawson and Colby Mooneyham officiated.
