Diana Lynn Prater Murphy, age 67 of McMinnville, TN, died Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born February 29, 1952, in McMinnville, TN, and was a customer service representative with Vi-Jon Corp. Ms. Murphy was preceded in death by her father Everett Prater and step-father Thomas Vernon Jacobs, Jr.

Survivors include her son Phillip David Gentry, mother Peggy McCorkle Jacobs, siblings Rhonda (Stan) St. Clair, Debra (Dewayne) Hullett, Tammie (David) Haynes, Bruce Jacobs, Robert (Michelle) Jacobs, Tom (Beth) Jacobs, David Jacobs, Kevin (Robin) Jacobs, Michelle Prater (Sam) Walker, and Richard Prater. Numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 30, 2019, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Casey Jacobs will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
