Mr. Donald Lee Lance, age 91, of the Centertown Community passed away May 15, 2019, at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was a retired employee of Batesville Casket Company, served with the 5th Armored Division of the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was a member of Bates Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. Mr. Lance was preceded in death by parents Amos and Opal Scott Lance, sister Freda Jennings Bouldin, and brother Charles Martin Lance, Sr.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Mae Belle Snipes Lance, children Donald Lynn (Sherry) Lance of Murfreesboro, TN, and Mickie (Billy) Spray of Manchester, TN, grandchildren Krissy Smith, Hayley Smith, Hannah (Jeremy) Davis, Noah Lance, step-grandson Corey Smith, and sisters Vita Gulley, Yvonne Gunter, and Delma Helton all of McMinnville, TN.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Bates Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Pastor Robby Black and Bro. B. J. Mathis will officiate. Interment will follow at Centertown Cemetery. The Lance Family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bates Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church or to Centertown Cemetery.
