Doris Marie Merriman age 74, of McMinnville, TN (Bratcher's Crossroads Community) died Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born June 04, 1947, was a member of Centertown Church of Christ, had worked at Super D and Oster, and was part owner of Diamond Creations jewelry store. Ms. Merriman was preceded in death by parents Lloyd and Margie Smith George.

Survivors include her son Mark (Billie) Merriman of McMinnville, first cousins Dean Rubley, Randal Smith, Carol Phillips, Coletta Hendrix, Janice Marcum, Gary George, Alan George, Connie King, Bobby George, and Brenda Holland, Uncle Hulan George, grandchild Austin Barrett, and numerous other cousins and friends.

Graveside services and interment were conducted December 31, 2021 at Flatwoods Cemetery. Charles Williams officiated. The Merriman Family met friends at the cemetery as there was no public visitation at McMinnville Funeral Home.
