Mrs. Dorothy Jo Cook, age 90, of McMinnville, TN, died Friday, March 17, 2023. She was born August 12, 1932, in Texarkana, AR, was a homemaker and a member of the People of the Living God Church. Dorothy loved the outdoors, she enjoyed fishing, gardening, and sitting on her porch. She also enjoyed playing the harmonica, and had a deep love for her family. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her parents Rufus and Georgia Lankford Burkeen, husband Walter D. Cook, daughter Rajeana L. Cook, sister Lillian E. Fike, and brothers Hubert E. Burkeen and Charles R. Burkeen.

Survivors include her, sons Joe D. (Susan) Cook, Richard W. (Kristy) Cook, sister Wanda J. Treas, grandchildren Chad Wayne (Chassidy) Cook, David Christopher (Jennifer) Cook, Lauren (Brandon) Carter, and Shaun (Kristy) Cook, great-grandchildren Aubrey Cook, Caleb Cook, Katie, Cook, Will (Amber) Cheek, Rachel Cheek, Austin Cook, Sydney Cook, Conner Cook, and Jordan Cook, and one great-great-grandchild Campbell Mae Cheek.

Funeral services were conducted March 19, 2023, at the People of the Living God Church. Bro. Richard W. Cook and David C. Cook officiated. Interment followed at Homeland Acres Cemetery.
