Dwayne Lee Paullin, 85, passed away peacefully at his home July 04, 2023 after an extended illness. Dwayne was born July 16, 1937 to Carl and Pearl Kennedy Paullin. His family later moved to his Grandparents dairy farm in Lake Fork, Ohio where he grew up. He graduated from Jeromesville School. Dwayne moved to Mohicanville, Ohio where he and Peggy Brown Paullin raised their three daughters, Debra, Linda, and Lisa. He worked several years at Bodager's Hardware Store in Jeromesville, Ohio. He was later employed at J.W. Kyler, Whitaker Merle Co. as a crane operator and heavy equipment mechanic. He was a member of Ohio Operating Engineers. He served in the National Guard.

Dwayne later married Celia Poth Paullin and they had one daughter, Montina. At this time, he owned and operated DP Repair, where he specialized in diesel mechanics and on-location farm equipment repair.

Dwayne later moved to Doniphan, Missouri where he resided for 30 years in the Mark Twain National Forest area. He was the assistant Fire Chief at the Pine-Bardley Volunteer Fire Department. Dwayne attended Wilderness Free Will Baptist Church and Tucker Methodist Church. When his health declined, he moved to rural McMinnville, TN where he enjoyed the view of the mountains from his cabin closer to his family.

Dwayne's passion in life was mechanics and farming. He enjoyed both his entire life. He showed promise in the mechanic field at a very young age, putting together a "hoopie" and the area's first riding lawnmower from various salvaged parts. His grandfather enjoyed riding the hoopie around on their farm.

Dwayne is survived by one sister Phyllis (Don) Fields; daughters Debra (Jeff) Kelly of Portland, TN, Linda (James) Conn, and Lisa (Mark) Kegley of McMinnville, TN; and Montina (Bill) Paullin of Altoona, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Brandon (Michaela) Kelly, Chastity (Mike) Badger, Teri (Adam) Harlow, Beth (Dusty) Wanamaker, Becky (Joshua) West, Laura (Eric) Baker, Gavin (Hope) Barton, Wren (Shawn) Barton, Caius Paullin-Rogers, and Kainin Bush; great-grandchildren Grace (Keaton)  Bond, Sarah, Brianna (Breezy), Brooklyn, Bella, Summer, Lane, Macy, Lincoln, Ross, Natalie, Lydia, Jayce, Henry, Josie, and Baby Girl Harlow.

Dwayne had a generous heart and gave his time and services freely to those in the communities where he lived. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

Funeral services were conducted July 07, 2023, at Pearls of Christ Church. Pastor James Conn officiated. Interment followed at Philadelphia Cemetery.
