Mr. Edward Layne Lemons age 43 of Smithville, TN. Ed was born May 28, 1978, in McMinnville, TN, was a mechanic, construction worker, an avid hunter and fisherman, and coached many sports leagues during his lifetime. He was preceded in death by his father Rollice Edward Lemons, niece Haley Lemons, grandfather Joe Miller Elliott, and grandmother Fannie Mae Cannon Elliott Huntley and husband Robert, and was a member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son Alex Lemons, mother Janice (Rod) Higham, sister Melonie Lemons, niece Emma Marshall, and nephews Preston Lemons, Peyton Lemons, Braxton Page, and William Marshall, former mother-in-law Linda Armstrong, and aunts, uncles, cousins, family members, and many friends.

Funeral services were conducted December 12, 2021, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bobby Hale officiated and was assisted by Darryl Gill, Chad Hale, and Casey Midgett. Interment followed at Friendship Cemetery.
