Mr. Fred Lancer Steakley, Jr., age 81, of McMinnville, TN passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. He was born on July 02, 1943 in Spencer, TN, owned and operated American Landscaping, and was of the Baptist faith. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching ballgames. Mr. Steakley was preceded in death by his parents Fred Lancer Steakley, Sr. and Mary Jo Russell Steakley.

Fred is survived by his wife Nanette Steakley, children Lanny Anderson, John (Kim) Anderson, and William Jeremy (Mindy) Steakley, sister Gail Holder, grandchildren Stephanie Anderson, Ashley (Warren) Shroyer, Jacob (Tessa) Anderson, Liam Steakley, Elle Steakley, and Addie Steakley, and great grandson Dawson Shroyer.

The funeral service for Fred Steakley is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 22, 2025 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Johnny Newby will officiate. Interment will follow at Spencer Town Cemetery in Van Buren County. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.
