Mr. Howard Eugene "Gene" McMahan, age 78, of McMinnville, TN, died Monday, March 20, 2023 at Ascension St. Thomas River Park Hospital. He was born December 27, 1944, in McMinnville, TN, was a retired truck driver and a member of Highland Church of Christ. Mr. McMahan was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow Houston and Lucy Pauline McAfee McMahan, wife of 58 years Patsy Jane Stewart McMahan, step mother Grace McMahan, brothers-in-law Earl Whitlock, Sherman Morris, and Ernie Russell, and sister-in-law Vella Doris McMahan.

Survivors include his daughter Gena Lance, granddaughters Amanda Lance and Mila (Ken) Hathcock; great grandsons Hunter Fish and Bentlee Martinez; sisters Patsy Whitlock, Pinkey (Tommy) Dodd, Billie Russell, Nancy (Tony) Davis, and Ellen (Terry) Murray, brothers Paul McMahan, Richard (Tena) McMahan, and Waymon McMahan, step brother Homer (Mary) Wilson, and special friends Ronny and Linda Huff.

Funeral services were conducted March 22, 2023, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Rickey Burks officiated. Interment followed at Mt. View Cemetery.
