Mr. Huel Dwayne Martin age 72 of Rock Island, TN, died Wednesday, July 06, 2022, at his residence. He was born April 21, 1950 in McMinnville, TN, was a graduate of Tennessee Technological University, and a member of the Church of Christ. Dwayne was a big fan of TTU's Eagles Basketball and Softball teams, was the family historian, and loved to travel gathering family information, history, and genealogy. He retired after 40 years of service with McMinnville Electric System as head of engineering.

Survivors include his uncle Sam Martin, Jr., aunts Juanita King, Martha Martin, and Claudia Martin, and numerous cousins and family friends. Preceding him in death are his parents Woodrow Wilson and Wavie Lee Grove Martin and his brother Fred Gerald Martin.

Graveside services and inurnment were conducted August 07, 2022, at Mt. View Cemetery on Hwy 30. Ray Weddington and Tommy Foster officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels.
