Mrs. Isobel Jordan Smith age 87 of McMinnville, TN, died Sunday, January 19, 2020, at her residence. She was born March 23, 1932, in McMinnville, TN, was a retired bookkeeper with a Dodge Chrysler Dealership and a farmer's wife, an avid reader and gardener, loved playing basketball, and enjoyed line dancing, square dancing, and clogging. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents Willie A. Jordan and Ethel Jordan Whitlock, husband of 64 years J. Linwood Smith, and brothers Randall Jordan and Kelly Jordan.

Survivors include her son William L. Smith, grandchildren Daniel Smith and Caroline (John) Lewis, their mother Lucinda Smith (Kenneth Odineal), great-grandchildren Lora Claire Lewis and Lucy Kate Lewis, sister Armilda Martin, and sister-in-law and best friend for almost 75 years Marie Cotten. Several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 23, 2020, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Nancy A. Stewart and Jamie Gillespie officiating. A private interment will follow at a later time at Centertown Cemetery. The Smith Family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and again Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
