Mr. James Christopher (Bubba) Veal age 63 of Crossville, TN, (formerly of McMinnville) died Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born November 01, 1956, in Dearborn, Michigan, was an operations manager with Select Energy Services in Odessa, TX, a member of the Church of Christ, a graduate of Warren County Senior High School, and alumni of the Warren County F.F.A.

Chris was a world re-nouned golf course builder respected by golf course architects, contractors and owners. He was at the top of his profession described, by the elite, as "one of the top 3 builders" in the world. His two most famous projects were Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, NJ and Chambers Bay outside Seattle, WA. Both of which are National Award-Winning courses.

Chris was a wonderful man, humble and loyal to all. Dearly loved by his family, friends and co-workers and will be desperately missed by anyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Survivors include his mother Marie Gay Veal, father James Veal and wife Gypsie, sisters Darlene Veal King and Amanda Veal Anderson and husband Mike, brother Ken Veal, nieces and nephews Skipper Jacobs and wife Nada Barnes Jacobs, Travis King, Natalie Veal Herron, Nicole Veal Barr, Lincoln Phillips, Ethan Phillips, and Jacob Fullbright, several great-nieces and great-nephews, Mason Jacobs, Mattie Jacobs, Ayden King, Adelyn King, Izabella Phillips.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 03, 2020, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends officiating. The Veal Family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 03, 2020, from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
