Mrs. Janie Elizabeth Watson, age 90, of McMinnville, TN, died Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at her residence. She was born October 20, 1931, in Smithville, TN, was a retired employee of U.T. Extension Service, a member of Smithville First United Methodist Church, and was preceded in death by parents Bernard "J. B." and Alta Tramel Summers, husband Ralph Watson, sister Jean Sain Barry, and brothers Ewin, Dean, and Bill Summers. Janie was known for collecting cook books, her love of cooking, and always enjoyed entertaining her family and friends with delicious food.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Darryl (Tracy) Watson, two grandsons John (Erica) Watson and David (Peyton) Watson, and three great-granddaughters Addisyn, Piper, and Devin Watson.

Funeral services were conducted September 03, 2022, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Mark Summers officiated. Interment followed at Mt. View Cemetery.
