Mr. James "Jim Bob" Prater age 87 of Morrison, TN, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024 at his home. He was born in Morrison, TN on December 22, 1936. He was a plumber and electrician and was of the Baptist faith. Jim Bob was a hard worker, a Big Orange UT Fan, and a good friend to a lot of people. Mr. Prater was preceded in death by his parents Joe Prater and Emma Lee Youngblood Prater, wife Johnnie Faye Dodd Prater, sister Betty Jo Brewer, and nephew Huston Prater.

Survivors include his daughter Sherry Lynn Prater, brother Leonard H. Prater, nephews David Chisam, John Prater, and Daniel Chisam, and caretakers – nieces Donna Jo Poss and Brandi Prater Harmon and cousin Lynn Muncey. Many other family members and family friends also survive.

Graveside service and entombment were conducted November 02, 2024, at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Drew Barrett officiated.
