Mr. Joe Carney Burton, age 85, of McMinnville, TN passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at his residence. He was born on February 06, 1940 in Silver Point, TN. He poured his heart into his job as a skilled farmer and was of the Baptist faith. He greatly enjoyed riding and showing horses all his life. He is preceded in death by his parents Ben H. Burton and Mildred Shanks Burton, and brothers Jack Burton and Terry Burton.

Survivors include his wife Christie Burton, children Tim (Sandy) Burton, Candi (Keith) Zahn, stepson Matthew Roberts, stepdaughter Megan (Kyle) Hewett, grandchildren Joey Burton, Joshua Burton, Jessica (Tyler) Hartman, and Samantha Zahn, great grandchildren Addison Hodges-Burton, Kenzlie Hartman, Tyler Hartman, Grace Hartman, and Conrad Burton, step grandchild Gracen Hewett, and brothers Steve Burton and Phillip Burton.

Graveside service and interment for Mr. Joe Burton is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 05, 2026 at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Bro. Jim Ramsey will officiate. The family will meet friends at the cemetery as there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
