Mr. Joe M. Hutchings, age 90 of McMinnville, TN, died peacefully Saturday, May 23, 2020, at his residence. Joe was born March 05, 1930, in Warren County, TN. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired Electrical Engineer with Lucent Technologies, and a member of First Baptist Church of McMinnville.  Joe graduated in 1959 from the Tennessee Polytechnic Institute, served as a trustee at First Baptist Church, loved working on the farm - especially cattle farming, and was a Tennessee farm boy at heart. He was preceded in death by  his wife Dora Mangum Hutchings, parents Frank Edward and Clara Belle Ferrell Hutchings, brother Jack Edwin Hutchings, and granddaughter Jaclyn Colette Fletcher.

Survivors include his children Patricia (Wesley) Suddarth, Celia (John) Fletcher, and Joseph (Lorie) Hutchings grandchildren Wesley M. (Evonne) Suddarth, John Hunt Fletcher, Catherine Ashley Fletcher, Christa Mae Fletcher, Alyssa Claire Hutchings, and Jame Pryce Hutchings, great-grandchildren Timothy Suddarth and Victoria Suddarth, and sister-in-law Dorothy Martin Hutchings. Many friends, church friends, and several cousins also survive.

A graveside service will be held for the family at Bethlehem Cemetery. Pastor Jeff Owens and Rev. John Fletcher will officiate. Military Grave Rites will be administered by the Marine Corps League Bobby Ray Detachment No. 1377. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home.
