Mr. Joe Douglas Nunley, age 74, of McMinnville, TN passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at Willow Branch Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on January 09, 1952 in Painesville, Ohio and worked as a saw mill operator for Burroughs-Ross-Colville; he also worked for Carrier Air Conditioning. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and served as a former pastor of several other congregations. Joe was a dedicated caregiver of his loving wife, Lucy Faye Nunley, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death are his father J D Nunley, paternal grandparents Luther and Mary Jane Nunley, and maternal grandparents Elda and Carrie McBride.

He is survived by children Pamela (Terry) Ray, Wendy Nunley (Billy Stacy), and Jessica (Chris) Scruggs, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as mother Lillie Mae McBride Nunley, sister Mary Carol McKeenhan, and aunt Carolyn Taylor.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 01, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Westside Baptist Church with Nathan Smith officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 01, 2026 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Westside Baptist Church.

There will be no service or visitation at McMinnville Funeral Home.

The family requests that any flowers or gifts be delivered directly to the Westside Baptist Church building on Sunday, November 01, 2026.
