Mr. John Ransom Jones age 90 of McMinnville, TN, died Friday, January 31, 2025, at NHC Health Care in McMinnville. He was born December 11, 1934, in McMinnville, TN, was a retired material handler with the Oster Corporation, preacher of the Gospel, veteran of the U S Army, and member of Pearls of Christ Church. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by parents Wesley Brown and Maudie Earlene Jaco Jones, son Ransom Jones, and sisters Billie Marie Weddington and Ruth Lee Patterson.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy Joyce Jones, daughter and son-in-law Catrenia (Anthony) Wanamaker, brothers Shirley (Deloris) Jones, Charles Jones, Eugene (Ann) Jones, and Clinton (Betty) Jones, daughter-in-law Anne Jones Twomey, grandchildren Travis (Teresa) Wanamaker, Dusty (Beth) Wanamaker, Alyshia (Kalen) Killian, and Emilee Jones, great grandchildren Candace (Collin) Hutchins, Cassity (Travis) Bell, Trevor (Taylor) Wanamaker, Tanner Wanamaker, Peyton Haston, Breezy (Jalen) Watson, Brooklyn (Riley) Bundy, Summer Wanamaker, Kalei, Alyssa, and Kenton Anthony Killion, and great-great grandchildren Axel Hutchins and Carsyn Bell. Many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also surviving.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 04, 2025, at Pearls of Christ Church. Anthony Wanamaker and Travis Wanamaker officiating. Burial to follow at Pearls of Christ Cemetery. Military grave rites will be bestowed by American Legion Post 173 and V.F.W. Post 5064. The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Pearls of Christ Church, 10720 Beersheba Hwy., McMinnville, TN  37110. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
