John Matthew
Sanderson
Dec 2, 1953 — Apr 3, 2025
McMinnville
John (Johnny) Sanderson entered this world on December 2, 1953, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and left it 71 years later on April 3, 2025, from his home in Tarlton Valley.
He is survived by his wife, Eda Sanderson and his son, Scott Sanderson; brothers: James (Betty) Sanderson of Winchester, Tennessee, and Roy (Twila) Sanderson of Houma, Louisiana; his twin, Esther Diggs of Houma, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Johnny's parents, James and Lorraine Sanderson, preceded him in death, as did his brothers, Samuel, Robert, and David, and his sister, Mary Rust.
Johnny was a plumber by trade, but his passion was to help people, young and old. He was a long-time member of People of the Living God Church, and he especially enjoyed going to the old folks' homes with the church's music group to play for them (he played saxophone). He was usually the last one to leave, because he so enjoyed visiting the people and helping them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at People of the Living God Church in Tarlton Valley at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 20, 2025, with Bro. Al King officiating. Burial will follow at Homeland Acres Cemetery.
