Mr. Johnny Lee Walling, age 68, of McMinnville, TN, died Thursday, October 17, 2024 in Rock Island, TN. He was born May 15, 1956, in Pikeville, TN, was a roofing contractor, and loved hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents James Thomas, Sr. and Irene Rigsby Walling, a sister Rachel Watson, a brother Billy Walling, and child of the heart Shane Armstrong.

Survivors include his children Lee Nokes, John Walling, Kelly (Jermiah) Dove, Kendall (Emilee) Walling, and Misty Walling, step daughter Beth Armstrong, grandchildren Chloe Nokes, Memphis Walling, Clay Walling, Archer Shockley, Haley Linkous, Odin, Haydon, and Aryan Crawley, Abel Turner, Julien, and Ellowyn Walling, sisters Mary Flatt, Betty Hopkins, Yvonna Rutledge, Beatrice Hopkins, Ann Frizzell, Patricia Myers, Brenda Walling, Lorene Walling, and Mary Elizabeth Whitman, and brothers Tommy Walling and Eddie Walling. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends also survive.

Funeral services were conducted October 20, 2024, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bishop Wayne Hopkins officiated. Interment followed at Seitz Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.
