Mr. Kenneth Wayne Medlen age 64 of Morrison, TN, died Thursday, November 07, 2019, at Saint Thomas Riverpark Hospital. He was born December 20, 1954, in McMinnville, TN, worked as an electrician in maintenance with AO Smith for many years and later worked at Helton, Incorporated. Kenneth served as president of the Warren County A & L Fair Board, assisted coaching for several years with the Warren County High School softball team and was a member of the "Chain Gang" for the WCHS football team. He also loved hunting and being on the farm. Mr. Medlen was preceded in death by his parents Charlie Milton and Edith Davis Medlen.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years Jewel Burks Medlen, daughters Becky Medlen Clark and husband Joey, and Tracey Medlen Scott and husband Brian, granddaughter Hattie Suzanne Scott, and grand-dog Lilly Grace Medlen. Many family and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 10, 2019, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Chris Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow at Caney Branch Cemetery. Members of the Warren County Fair Board, both past and present, are asked to serve as honorary pallbearers. The Medlen family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again Sunday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Warren County A & L Fair or to the Caney Branch Cemetery Fund.
