Mrs. Leah Ellis Johnson age 96 of Gallatin, TN, previously of McMinnville, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. She was born March 11, 1924 in White County, to the late Charlie and Ina Ellis. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 ½ years, Layron "W.L." Johnson. Leah was a member of Friendship The Baptist Church and worked as a secretary at Eastside Elementary. Her family was her first love and she also loved gardening, flowers, cooking, crocheting, and quilting.

She is survived by her four daughters and son: Carol (Tom) Moore, Hendersonville, TN; Diana (John) Doss, Nashville, TN; Charlene (Don) Kennedy, Madison, MS; Judy Elliott, Gallatin, TN; and Terry Johnson, Gallatin, TN, and 4 grandchildren David, Beth, Brooke, and Chris and 6 great grandchildren.

Graveside service and interment will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 28, 2020, at Mountain View Cemetery. Due to current state gathering restrictions, the service and burial is required to be private with only immediate family. There will be no public visitation held at the funeral home.
