Obituary

Mrs. Linda Faye Simmons, age 78, a McMinnville, TN passed away at her home on Tuesday     February 13, 2024. She was born March 13, 1945 in McMinnville, was the director of North Hills Day Care for many years, and was a homemaker. Linda was a member of the Shiloh Church of God of Prophecy, liked watching soap operas, enjoyed decorating, and was fondly known for many years as "Mama Simmons" by the Warren County High School Band for whom she also often made bows.

Survivors include her son Bradley "Brad" Jay Simmons (Shellon Shults) of McMinnville, sister Bertha (Willie) Pack, grandchildren Bradley Ridge Simmons Short, Nichlas Simmons, and Chase Simmons, special niece Cheyenne Gann, and friend & neighbor Tina Marie. Linda was preceded in death by her parents John Wiley and Sarah Belle Green Fisher, husband Carl Milton Simmon, son Christopher Allan Simmons, brothers Floyd Fisher, Arthur (Geneva) Fisher, William "Billy" (Willie Mae) Fisher, James Wilson Fisher, and sisters Elliott Warren, Mona (Arthur G.) Hale, Helen (Arville T.) Hale, Johnnie (Marvin) Jackson, and Verda Dean Poss.

Funeral services were conducted February 17, 2024, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Chad Bagley, Chasity Starkey, Danny Hale, and Ridge Short officiated. Interment followed at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County.
