Maria H. Renteria, age 77 of McMinnville, TN, died Monday, November 23, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born May 11, 1943, was a member of Saint Catherine's Catholic Church, and was employed as a greeter at McDonald's. She had retired from Calsonic/Yorozu, donated her time with the food bank at Thanksgiving in years past, and was the "best well-known" cashier at Foodland.

Maria was preceded in death by her son Ramon Renteria, Jr. and is survived by her children Teresa Frias, Laura Frias, Anna Perryman, John Renteria, and Joseph Renteria, grandchildren Anthony Frias, Neesa Perryman, Marcos Chico, and Maddie Renteria, great grandchildren Anthony Frias, Jr., Charlotte Frias, and Emily Nicole Chico, brother Emigdio A. "Milo" Frias, and sister Alicia Cartagena. Many family friends also survive.

Memorial services for Maria were conducted November 28, 2020.  Father Bala officiated. Social distancing and the wearing of face masks were strongly encouraged. An inurnment will occur at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honor of Maddie Renteria, 4538 Trousdale Dr, Nashville, TN 37204.
