Mrs. Marlene Solomon, 90 of Morrison, TN, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Willow Branch Health & Rehab in McMinnville, TN. She was born on October 31, 1933 in Beech Grove, Tennessee, attended secretarial school, and was a retired accountant with Parhams CPA in Stephenville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband James Solomon, parents O.D. Simmons and Pearl Bush Simmons, brother Ralph Simmons, and son-in-law David Wood.

Survivors include her daughters Margina Wood of Morrison, TN and Teresa (Mike) Turner of Shreveport, LA, sisters Virginia Millraney and Janice (Eldie) Ferrell, grandchildren Michael (Marriah) Bruce, Barry (Mellissa) Bruce, Tyler (Ashley) Niswanger, and Heather Niswanger, and great grandchildren Austin Bruce, Ty Bruce, Kinsley Bruce, Bryson Bruce, Aaron Bruce, Dustin Bruce, Ivy Hanson, and Finley Niswanger.

Graveside services and interment were conducted July 27, 2024, at Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Andrew Coppinger officiated.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marlene's memory may be made to Gentiva Hospice.
