Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Tate age 87 of McMinnville, TN, died Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born August 29, 1936, in McMinnville, TN, was a homemaker, and a member of New Union Methodist Church at Hwy 30. Her family was her greatest love and brought her such happiness; she enjoyed cooking and was an avid Elvis fan. Reading, playing Bingo, and talking on the phone were things that gave her great joy.

Survivors include her daughters Teresa Carol Davis, Hope Renee´ (Dannie) Glover, and Phyllis Cheryl (Jeff) Hobbs, daughters-in-law Tami Tate and Melinda Tate, thirteen grandchildren, and several great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, and family friends. She was preceded in death by her parents James Clyde and Annie Alice Smith, husband Edward Bert Tate, sons Dwaine Tate and Miles Tate, brothers Glenn Smith, Paul Smith, James Smith, and Jerry Smith, and sisters Mary Knight and Virgie Bishop.

Graveside services and interment  were conducted July 21, 2024, at Shiloh Cemetery. David Grissom officiated.
