Warren County resident Norris Edward Vaughn, Sr. age 90 (Highland Community), was born June 12, 1929 and died Sunday, December 01, 2019, at home. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Vaughn's professional career included 10 years as a nuclear engineer with Atomic International and Combustion Engineering and 24 years as a Mechanical Engineer with A.E.D.C.  He was the son of the late Lee H. and Ethel Marshall Vaughn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death first wife Barbara Porter Vaughn, and a sister Mary Lee Ziegler.

Norris was married to his wife of 18 years LaVerne L. Vaughn. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children and two step children:  Vechere Vaughn Lampley and husband Don of Pleasant View, TN, Vickie Vaughn Spung and husband Mark of Germantown, OH, and Erin Vaughn Nelson and husband Mark of Viola, TN, Norris Edward Vaughn, Jr. and wife Terri of Mulberry, TN and Richard Lee Vaughn and wife Billie Faye of Pulaski, TN, Debra Lowe Sawyer and husband Gary, McMinnville, TN, and Curtis Lowe and wife Carol, Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren Jessica Vaughn Mills, Heather Spung, Rebecca Lampley, Chrisopher Lampley, Rachel Spung, Logan Ward, John Vaughn, Misty McBride, Matt Nelson, Ashley Soukhamneut, Robert Vaughn, Whitney Maples, Norris Vaughn III, and Holly Vaughn, and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 04, 2019, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lanny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
