Mr. Ollis Ray Martin age 83 of Rock Island, TN (Cedar Grove Community), died Monday, June 03, 2019, at N.H.C. Healthcare in Sparta, TN following an extended illness. He was born January 15, 1936, in Warren County, TN. He worked at Carrier and as a dairy and cattle farmer. He also was an avid fisherman and hunter, and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents Otis Haskell and Bertha Hazel Glenn Martin, brother Haskell Martin, and sisters Sue Bell Jones and Judy Ann Martin.

Ollis is survived by his wife of 59 years Mary Frances "Mancy" McCoy Martin, children Sonja Bond and Stephanie (Kurt) Maynard, sister Nadine Cantrell (Kenneth) Brown, Douglas (Carol) Martin, Otis (Sylvia) Martin, Jr., grandchildren Courtney (Mike) Oleksik, Camron Bond, Kane Maynard, and Hannah Maynard, great grandchildren Aubrey, Adam, and Avie Oleksik, brothers-in-law Earl (Donna) McCoy and James Grissom, and sister-in-law Faye (Danny) James. Several nieces, nephews, family members and friends also survive.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 06, 2019, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Steve Breedlove and Bro. Bryan Jones will officiate. Interment will follow at Long Cemetery on Hwy 30. The Martin Family will receive friends Wednesday from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
