Mr. Richard Ernest "Dick" Gaines, age 77, of McMinnville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday October 06, 2024 in Rock Island, Tennessee. Mr. Gaines was born on January 27, 1947 in Evanston, Illinois. Mr. Gaines was a faithful member at the ST. Catherines Catholic Church where in addition to his biological family he received love and support from his church family. He enjoyed attending bible study at ST Catherines Catholic Church while attending there twice a week regularly. He was a wine maker and welder in addition he raised chickens and sheep. In his spare time, he was a volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity and enjoyed outdoor activities and kayaking. He was preceded in death by his parents Dwight and Irene Gaines, first wife Rodna Marie Turner Gaines, and son Dennis Gaines.

Survivors include his wife Juana Rodrigues Alvarez, daughter Cindy Lee Gaines and her wife Kris Graf and daughter Tammy Marie Iverson along with her husband Terrance Iverson, and daughter Jan Gaines. Brothers and sister-in-law David (Mary) Gaines and Robert Gaines. In addition to his daughters and siblings he is also survived by many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
