Mr. Robert Lee Wood age 85 of Shelbyville, TN, died Saturday November 05, 2022, with his loving wife and special daughter by his side in Shelbyville, TN. He was born May 11, 1937, in Rutherford County, TN, was a retired electrician with AEDC, served in the National Guard, loved farming and his cattle, was a great husband, father, pap, and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Helen Lamb Wood and a sister Mary Ruth Frizzell.

Survivors include the love of his life, partner, and wife Evelyn Wood, special daughter and caregiver Marlene Horton Jacobs, special grandson and farming buddy Justin Jacobs, special great grandchildren J.J. Jacobs, Brailee Jacobs, Haley Searcy, and Mason Searcy, son John Wood, daughter Brenda Smotherson, and grandchildren Keith, Justin, and April. Other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.

Graveside services and interment were conducted November 09, 2022, at Mt. View Cemetery. Ronnie Adcock officiated.
