Mr. Ron Johnson age 64 of Morrison, TN, was born March 23, 1956 in Garden Grove, California. Ron passed January 26, 2021 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN due to complications from COVID-19.

He was a proud member of Charles Creek The Baptist Church. Ron retired from Major League Baseball after a wonderful 40-year career, but always said he never worked a day in his life. When he wasn't on the field, Ron cherished his time at home with his family, riding his horse, watching college football and cutting up with his friends. Loved by all for his big smile, positive attitude, and encouraging words, he will be missed by all.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years Daphane Johnson, children Savannah Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Christian Gonzalez, Cheyanne Johnson, and Bridget Johnson, and grandchildren Greyson Asher Johnson, Calliana Marie Johnson, and Walker T. Gonzalez.

Per his wishes, Mr. Johnson was cremated and a memorial service honoring his life was conducted January 30, 2021. Cody Holman, Nick Pelham, and Darrell Cantrell officiated. Social distancing and wearing facial masks were strongly encouraged. Please, no food at the funeral home.
