Royal Monroe Chisam of McMinnville passed away from this life on January 12, 2025. A native of White County, Tennessee and a graduate of White County High School in Sparta, Tennessee. He was a member of Westwood Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Nell Ruth Mullican Chisam, a son, Richard Chisam, grandson Brandon Hill, four brothers, Anthony Chisam, Hamilton Chisam, Atheron Nelson Chisam, and Telson Chisam, and his parents George and Nanna Crocker Chisam.

He is survived by daughters Deborah Carol and husband Derrick Garcia of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Phyllis Chisam of Manchester, Tennessee, and grandson Devin Garcia San Antonio, Texas.

A Veteran of the Army National Guard and Air Force, a member of the American Legion Post 78 of Manchester, Tennessee, a black belt recipient of Karate, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Masonic member, Mr. Chisam was a truck driver with Mid South Funeral Supplies for 8 years and retired from Batesville Casket Company after 35 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling.

The graveside service and interment for Royal Chisam was held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Mt. View Cemetery.
