Mrs. Sandra Kay Self Cantrell, age 78, of McMinnville, TN passed away on July 14, 2025 at Willow Branch Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on May 16, 1947 to the late Charles Buford Self and Thelma Lois Melton Self. She worked in the medical field as a registered nurse and is of the Baptist faith as she attended Northside Baptist church. She is preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law Moses Aquilla and Silverree Cantrell, niece Carla Self, son-in-law Chris Roller, sisters-in-law Julie Self and Sharron Hutchison, and brother-in-law Malcom Cantrell.

Survivors include her husband Thomas (Whitey) Michael Aquilla Cantrell, children Jennifer Kay Cantrell, Brent Michael (Kristy) Cantrell, sisters Diane (Dale) Haley, Peggy (Doug) Hale, brothers Charles (Lynn) Self, Larry Self, Jerry Self, grandchildren Casey Michael Aquilla (LeeAnn) Cantrell, Coty Ray (Jessica) Cantrell, Chase Dean Cantrell, Cameron (Samantha) Roller, Caleb (Ashley) Roller, Riley Cantrell, Kyle Johnson, Alyssa Roller, 7 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Gayle Cantrell, and brother-in-law Mike Hutchison. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Sandra Kay Cantrell will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Brent Cantrell will officiate. Interment will follow at Newtown Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 18th from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M. in the McMinnville Funeral Home parlors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nursing Home Christmas program at Willow Branch Nursing Home.
