Mrs. Sophie Louise Stewart, age 90, of McMinnville, TN, died Thursday, July 13, 2023. She was born April 22, 1933, in McMinnville, TN, was a house wife and a member of Gath Baptist Church. She taught Bible classes and Sunday School for over 50 years, had a passion to teach children, and was married to her beloved husband 'Sid' for over 66 years.  She was preceded in death by her parents R.L. and Nellie Cope Roller, husband Calvin Sidney 'Sid' Stewart, son Roger Bruce Stewart, brother Samuel Roller, and sisters Emma Lee Pedigo, Nar Seal, Mary Joins, and Marie Duke.

Sophie is survived by her son Rick Stewart and his wife Judy, daughter Cynthia Davis and her husband Mitch Hopkins, brother R.L. Roller and his wife Doris, sister Bill Kirby, eight grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren on the way.

Graveside services and interment were conducted July 15, 2023 at Gath Cemetery. Pastor Rick Stewart officiated.
