Mrs. Thelma Lois Self, age 93, of McMinnville, TN, died Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at N.H.C Health Care in McMinnville. She was born January 31, 1926, in Marion, KY, was an L.P.N. with Warren County General Hospital and retired from DeKalb County General Hospital, was a member of Blues Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she served with the Cumberland Presbyterian Women, and the Warren County Family & Community Club. Mrs. Self was preceded in death by parents William Jefferson and Ruth Herron Melton, husband Charles Buford Self, sisters Lucille Ainsworth, Shirley Travis, and Emma Curneen, brothers John, James, Cecil, and Thomas Melton, and one granddaughter Carla Self.

Survivors include her children Sandra and Michael Cantrell, Diane and Dale Haley, Peggy and Doug Hale, Larry Self, Jerry and Julie Self, and Charles and Lynn Self, brother Frank and Kitty Melton, 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 29, 2019, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Robby Black will officiate. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. The Self Family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
