Obituary

Titus Page Ward, 91, of McMinnville, TN, passed from this life on Saturday, October 08, 2022 at his home following an extended illness with his wife and daughter by his side. He was born March 09, 1931, to his parents, the late John and Lula Hale Ward. Mr. Ward was a long-time minister of the Church of Christ, preaching at several local congregations over the years. He was a faithful member and full-time minister at Jericho Church of Christ for over 60 years.

He was a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army and a veteran of the Korean War. After his service in Korea, he became a member of the "1 st Field Artillery Observation Battalion Association", where he enjoyed reunions and continued friendships with his fellow veterans, and was honored to serve as their chaplain. He retired after 30 years of service from Magnetek Century Electric Company.

Titus is survived by his wife of 69 years, Lottie Wiseman Ward. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Judith Darlene Ward Sullivan, son-in-law Don Sullivan, and one granddaughter, Delanie Autumn Sullivan all of McMinnville, Tennessee, one sister, Shirley Ward Hitchcock of Spencer, Tennessee, and two sisters-in-law, Jo Dean Ward and Bertie Tenpenny, both of Warren County. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends also survive.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ward was preceded in death by four brothers John Ward, James Ward, J. H. Ward, and William Ward; one sister Mary Lee Ward Brimer; three sisters-in-law, Virgie Ward, Grace Ward, and Billie Ward; and three brothers-in-law Don Hitchcock, Louis Wiseman, and Beecher Brimer.

Funeral services were conducted October 11, 2022, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.  Richard Bowman and Samuel Bain officiated. Interment followed at Mt. View Cemetery. Military grave rites were bestowed by American Legion Post 173 and the V.F.W. Post 5064.
